ARTISANS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA COTTON TRAIL
An affiliate group of the South Carolina Cotton Trail, the Artisans of the South Carolina Cotton Trail began with assistance from the South Carolina Arts Commission. Their mission is to bring together artists, artisans, and the retailers of their work for the benefit of marketing, tourism, education and shared resources. Now numbering nearly 30 artists, the group jointly participates and shows throughout the region, in locations such as a wholesale and public show at the South Carolina Jazz Festival in Cheraw, a juried show at the Black Creek Arts Council in Hartsville and the Good Living Marketplace in Hartsville. Upcoming shows are scheduled for Aiken and Cheraw. Future projects include retail kiosks, specialty shopping Christmas trees, online retailing and closer ties to the design-build community.
