|
In the spring, the South Carolina Cotton Trail is beautiful. Azaleas are usually in full bloom by early April, Yellow Jessamine, the South Carolina state flower, lavender clusters of wisteria and dogwood frame fields and roadsides.
Red Sorrel, or "sour weed," turns some fields a brilliant red. Numerous spring festivals showcase the area's heritage and natural beauty. Watch for home and garden tours.
